The Linen Stitch gives your piece a woven look, which I love. When you use two very different colors and switch them every two rounds, it also blends the colors perfectly.
It's easy to add stitches to make the cowl wider, and easy to knit more to make it taller (or shorter for a headband).
Because this stitch knits up tight, you are on a size 6 needle.
This is a fairly simple pattern once you get the hang of the stitch and can "read" it.
It used two colors of Fingering Weight yarn in two very different colors. It's best if they don't have any of the same colors in them.
You will use ~200 yards of each color to make a cowl 19" wide and 5.5 inches tall.
Needle used is a Size 6, 16" Circular.
