We encourage new people to attend our retreats. We love to see new faces in our circle. We usually have a nice mix of new and returning knitters. We also welcome any level of knitter. We have people attend that haven't picked up their knitting in 20 years, and they have a great weekend.

During the retreat we allow plenty of time to do your own thing. We like to think of our retreats as "Create Your Own". We offer a variety of choices you can pick and choose from, making the retreat exactly what you want it to be.

We usually offer a knitting project, but you can work on anything you want.

Camp duNord is located about 20 miles outside of Ely, Mn. on Burntside Lake. We've been hosting retreats here for over 20 years and we can't get enough of it. The cabins are beautiful, the building we knit in is beautiful, and the scenery is amazing.

Because we have full kitchens, we eat breakfast in our cabins (which means you need to bring breakfast food for yourself.) It makes for a leisurely morning with your cabin mates.

We bring a massage therapist to this retreat. His wife is a knitter (lucky us) and he has been with us for about 10 years. He brings his table and his chair so you can get a full on massage, or have him work on your shoulders for 10 minutes.

Our cabins also have full bathrooms, with walk-in showers. Unfortunately, most of the bedrooms are up or down stairs. We can accommodate 3 to 4 people with rooms on the main floor.

About Show and Tell

We encourage you to bring items you have knit to share with the group. We like to see ANYTHING you have from a dishcloth to a sweater. There is NO competition here, only inspiration. With a large group we have learned that 3 to 4 items is a good number to keep things flowing.

The Lottery

To receive the link to the Lottery Form you will need to sign up for our Newsletter at the bottom of any website page. (Our email list is private and is only used for our Newsletters). You will receive an email with a link to the Lottery Form on the day the Lottery opens at 9:00 am central time.
We try to make this as fair as possible so there are a few rules.

All Lotteries start on Tuesday at 9:00 am central time and end on Friday (3 days later) at 5:00pm central time.

Everyone will be notified, by email, the following Monday (3 days later) letting you know if you got into the retreat or not.

We allow groups of up to four (no more than four) to enter the lottery. We ask that one person from the group enter for everyone. (If more than one person fills out a form for your group, your form will not be accepted). The person that enters for the group needs to enter everyone's name and email address.

If you don't get into your first choice, feel free to enter the lottery for another retreat, you'll have the same chance of getting into your second choice.

If you would like to receive emails about all  our retreats, you can sign up for our Newsletter at the bottom of any page.
