The original owner of the shop designed this hat using worsted weight yarn, which I thought was too bulky. So, I reworked it using sock weight yarn. You also get three sizes and two lengths. The longer version is long enough to fold, so you get four layers over your ears. And I added a few striping charts if you want to play with stripes.
This hat starts in the middle, so you knit one hat, then you pick up where you started and knit another hat the opposite direction. It's much easier than starting at the top with very few stitches and double pointed needles.
