We knit these mittens with a fingering weight self striping yarn which we normally use for socks. We realized if you tuck your thumbs under, it looks like you have socks on your hands.
These are a perfect weight for Spring and Fall OR as a liner in the Winter.
Our friend Nancy got really creative and turned them into Fingerless Mitts. The pattern has instructions for both AND we think you can get both out of one skein of yarn. BONUS!
